What is your favorite service you offer?
I don't have a favorite service exactly, but I do love the kind of services that start with a concept and then become a conversation while I use the skills I have learned and honed as both a barber and cosmetologist. I love it all from the haircut you've always wanted to try but didn't know how to make it happen to the most relaxing steam shave you've ever had.
What made you choose barbering?
It's a time honored tradition. A trade that is rooted in service and humility and also a position that has been respected among communities for centuries. I wanted to be a part of this discipline and use my time and abilities to be an asset to folks in my community. Oh and there's nothing as much fun as knowing how to use a straight razor well.
How do you like to spend your time outside of the shop?
Well, I suppose that really depends on what new skill sounds like fun to add to my character sheet. So yes, I am all about learning new things, hanging out with my cats and my bearded dragon, reading (excessively some might say) and doing totally normal human things. (That last part probably made some of my long term clients laugh out loud)
What are two fun facts about yourself?
The most important fact is that I did actually have a Blockbuster Video membership card.

I've had nothing but incredible experiences at Rooster's Nest. I've been seeing Jenni for at least a year now and she always does a great job - double checks what we're cutting, is efficient and thorough, always great chatting with her. The customer service and atmosphere at Rooster's Nest are top notch and I couldn't recommend them more.

I can't stress enough how important The Rooster's Nest has become to my self care regimen. I started working with Jenni last year when I knew I needed a change for myself and how I handled my own upkeep. Jenni has been nothing short of a lifesaver and wonderful human. The care Jenni and the rest of the staff shows in helping you be your most authentic self cannot be understated. I've never told her this but something simple as a shave and a cut from her has given me such a boost in my own self confidence and mental health and I owe a lot to her. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.
